Hi. New to mbclub. So basically I had my head unit replaced and when I checked the Satnav it said corrupted. I've been to a few places to repair it and been quoted some silly prices. Was wondering if I could fix it myself as I'm pretty good with software and hardware as I work in IT. Would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks.

Difficult to advise without knowing which version of Comand you have.
It may be possible to reformat the disc partition and reinstall the sat nav files but you'll need access to STAR diagnostics.
Not sure if its worth spending too much on getting it to work though as its still very old tech and I'm not sure you'll get any more updates from MB.
Perhaps a call to Comandonline - Catalog would be worth while. They have vast experience dealing with Mercedes electronics and have an excellent reputation.

Why not go for the android upgrade? I did mine, 10 inch screen etc, so much better and much more up to date sat nav, digital radio etc.
