For those who don't know thier cars, its a Mercedes E-Class...

For those who know thier cars, it's an E500...

For those who know this particular car, its an E60 AMG!

That's right, an original factory E60 AMG - sold already for £27,500 to a german purchaser. Came accross this when I went to see a few other cars they had.

Anyone know history behind this particular one? I seem to remember that it was sold by the Hairpin Company a couple years back - apparently the owner once had this exact vehicle.

As the car was sold, it was locked and could not get any interior photos. The interior was 100% standard to the E500.

Few more photos for you guys...The suspension did seem very high for an E60 - I presume they had AMG suspension from new? Oh yeah, and it has done 180,000km on the clock.

Have to agree, thats possibly one of the best mercedes ever made. MrMotul on this forum used to have one, but he sold it .

Nice car, but £27k for a 1994 super saloon seems OTT to me. But then again I'm no MB aficionado.
That money can also buy:

2000 Bentley Arnage
2005 BMW M5
2007 Jag XJR

that is a lovely and rare car.the price seems high for the mileage,but lets not forget is an E60.I would go for E500 for less than half the money

Thats no way to treat a splendid old lady such as that. It should be revered, respected and cherished. Like fine wine. Not to be used as a barry boy toy.
If you want to do that go do it in something less grand or dignified.
Shouldnt be allowed.

lol, cars are for driving, treat em mean and keep em keen, anything is fixable, not much point having a fast car and never using it, i break my cars all the time, gives you an excuse to improve stuff and i'd rather see a classic on a drag strip with a driver grinning maniacally than see one stuck in a museum.

To a point, I would go along with that.
I wouldnt mind seeing MGB's, TR6's, even Silver Shadows, Bentleys and almost any US muscle car on the pod.
But there is a fine line that has to be drawn. There are cars that shouldnt be used in this way and thats one of them.
Of course its all only opinion, and whats right for me, may not be for you.
Its all good......................
