Yes the dreaded SBC warning has come. Mine has been reset already. Car has done. 140k so I wonder if I should even talk to Merc about it ?

Nothing to loose by talking to MB ...

Speak to blackC55 a forum sponsor - he offers to do a software fix - if it works you pay, if it doesn't you don't pay - they say you can do 2 fixes before you have to stick your hand deep into your wallet - don't quote me

Probably won't get any where without FMSH. I would try another reset... otherwise it looks like a new pump time.

The buzzing noose is very faint when you unlock the car. The pump is not actuating. Looks like it will need a new pump etc.

I guess it hinges on how much the car is worth and how it is running.

Did you manage to speak to Merc-iless?

I'll speak to them next week. We have a good relationship with merc in Edinburgh. We buy all our cars from there. Family has just ordered 2 new Sclass plus everything else we have should maybe help the case in any form. But alas, we will see. The car is great and there are no plans of ditching it.

10 years,100k supposedly but if you don't ask etc. I'm sure they'd do you a good deal regardless though given the sort of business they get from you.

Of course - it's worth more than an SBC pump.

See if you can put it through MB as a company car ;) MB have just done 2 of our cars SBC FOC both 211's and both well over 100k :thumb:

Do you mean pretend it is when you speak to them?

No I mean if you have a company make sure the car is registered in the Company name and theres every chance MB will do it FOC but the V5 has to have a company as the owner now heard of a few been done this way.

The only problem with doing this is I'm not sure if mobilo is automatically renewed on fleet vehicles, I seem to remember someone telling me it wasn't but you could always change the RO back to a private individual before being serviced.

Hi Ian. Thing is , they will be looking for a full mb history. Obviously myn has been looked after by my Indy but it's full of genuine parts and the mb dealers up here all know him. So we ll see.
The company car thing sounds interesting but myns in my wifes name. I do work for her mind you.

True they will want FMBSH I'm sure, I forgot about that as ours were dealer serviced.

Is it not time for another curry soon?

Dam right it is. When are you up again ?
