Hi again guys,

Could someone pleease give me a heads up on the audio 20 system regarding navigation?
I am puzzled as to where i can get the SD CARD. Is this card supplied with a new car by the dealer or do you download the info yourself on a such a card??
Many thanks

You can buy them from the dealer, or from ebay. But note some of the cheap ebay ones may not include live traffic.

I recently asked our dealer about the very same thing for my wife's car. They said bring the card in and we will update it, we left it with them as it takes a while ( to save waiting)
They rang the next day all done but to bring the car in to hook it up to star, took the car in all done in 10 minutes. The best bit no charge:D

Look on comandonline.co.uk (forum sponsors) where you'll find accurate info and prices (for genuine items!).

Is this for the car in your avatar? E220 CDI 2008? If so, then are sure that there's an SD-Card navigation option for your model of Audio20?

Markjay,
No it is for a 2019 e class fitted with the std Audio 20 (no command) with SDcard slot and GPS antenna etc.
The manual says the car is either supplied with a card OR one can be supplied by the authorised repair shop afterwards. I asked them...lol.
Thanks

...:doh:me...Was the card supplied by the dealer initially or you bought an empty one

I took the one that was in the car
I see ..mine came without one so i should be able to get one from the dealer but will it be free. I wonder. The car has a multitude of free three year or unlimited access to gps and telediagnostic services with "mercedes me" and LTE module installed and running.

When I bought my year-old C200 a couple of years ago I asked the dealer if there was a satnav SD installed (there wasn't), so he just went into the showroom and came back with one and installed it for free.

It seems that even though the car has the audio 20 with gps and most other preinstallations, I cannot find code 355 (sd card navi preinstallation) so i guess that is it. Not a problem since the car was bought ex-stock and l didnt ask about navigation then. (google does a pretty good job with live trafic too.)

The first card may well cost a couple of hundred quid from the dealer. After that "update" cards are around 99 quid.

I have the mercedes me App working fine. It shows various things (doors locked, brakes etc) plus mobility (location of the car and of my phone but on a blank page as of now)..a pop up window explained i can share locations from phone apps to the vehicle- try will later.
The services described in an email received separately also include geofencing, speefencing (not actually tested yet), predictive navigation (is this not onscreen navigation?), "parking for app", parked vehicle locator but how about normal navigation as we understand it...?
Hence the questions about the sdcard...dealer said they do not supply such cards! I downloaded the manager in my laptop and it says no card detected of course.
