Sealey Brake Bleeder

Thanks Will
I have a similar one to yours I think. They pull the fluid via the nipples on the wheel cylinders I believe.
I have read that for cars with ABS they do not work that great as the fluid should be pushed through via the main cylinder.

I have the sealey one in first post, it's really excellent. Just remember to de pressurise before opening lid to top up otherwise you soon learn what brake fluid tastes like.

You may well be correct. Though oddly enough I bought a vacuum kit because my Haynes manual said that my bike with ABS needed a vacuum kit. But I've also used it on my Civic (with ABS) and can't find fault with it so far. It's a complex motoring world out there!

Cheers Jay, just bought one on your recommendation seems good for the money £37.75 off ebay. Does the cap fit the 107?

Does your W211 has SBC (is it facelift)? SBC will need pressure bleeder, and star...

No it is a facelift car no SBC...:D

The Sealey kit is truly excellent. You will need a clear silicon tube and a bottle hooked to caliper to collect the fluid on the other end. I use Draper 37316.

^^^ Scratch the Draper kit if you're only renewing the fluid. I misread it as 'need to renew brakes'. Draper will be useful when you change your calipers.

All you really need is a spare reservoir cap, a bottle and a tube to connect them up. Make an extended header tank and it will bleed without issue.

Even a funnel wedged into the reservoir will work, or indeed nothing at all, just keep the reservoir topped up.

Gravity is a powerful tool.

I have a kit which consists of a replacement reservoir cap with an airline attached.

You attach the airline to a tyre and use the air in the tyre to bleed the brakes. It works very well on cars and bikes.

I have a few of these and I can never get them to seal properly.. They either leak air or blow brake fluid all over the place... extremely frustrating.

The sealey is excellent.. And yes fits the R107 cap no problem.
