Seat conversion, sprinter srs light help

Hi there everyone

I really hope one of you can help me get around my problem...

I have changed over the front passenger single seat to a double passenger seat in my sprinter 2010, my problem is that the single seat I removed had a thorax airbag built in and the new double seat doesn't, meaning that there is now nothing plugged into the thorax airbag connector situated under the seat area, and hence why now the srs light is constantly on.

I have been to euro commercials in south wales and they have told me that there is nothing they can do as they do not authorise the conversion, Which I think is a little petty as this can't be the first time someone has made this change.

I was wondering if any of you have come across this problem before and if you could recommend anything which would solve the problem.

Many Thanks
Tim

Will the airbag not also transplant into the new seat?

Hi thanks for the reply, but no, unfortunately not as it's a factory fit.

Fit a 3ohm resistor to the loom.

I thanks I'll try it out but I can only find 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, 2.7, 3.3, 3.9, 4.7, 5.6 ohm resistors.

Do you know for sure which one I'll need

Many Thanks
Tim

They will be 10% tolerance resistors. If you can find 5% tolerance you should get what you need.
Otherwise get a 2.7 and 3.3. As they are 10% tolerance they may be close enough to the correct value.
You certainly won't harm anything if you use these values.

The resistor will put the light out yes but why will the air bag not fit in the twin seat, I would pull the cover and look deeper into that, is it a sprinter twin?

Many thanks for all your Help guys, I Very much appreciate it.
