seatbelt presenter not working

I have a 2012 Mercedes e250 coupe and the drivers side seatbelt presenter stayed out so I gently pushed it in so that it wont get damaged.Now it wont come out when I close the door,any suggestions.

This could be one of several things, start with checking the fuse. Beyond that you need to check for power at the motor, the unit is controlled by the DCM so that could be faulty, does everything else on the drivers door work OK ? The best way would be to get the car on Star diagnostic tool and run the switch actuation test on the door and see if it shows any fault codes.

Hi,yes we checked the fuse and all electrics on door works,hopefully at weekend I'll try and get it booked up to a star diagnostic tool.
