Second Hand SAM Unit

The first step when you replace a SAM whether its new or used or even if it came from an identical car, is to get it coded. Only then can you properly start to diagnose what might still be wrong.

The coding takes about 15 minutes and needs to be done online with Mercedes using a genuine Xentry system. It is pointless discussing anything further until you have had this step performed.

Thanks for the reply,

Can you recommend anyone in Northern Ireland who might be able to do this? Or would the car have to go to Mercedes garage?

Again thanks.

Quick search comes up with this

Creevy Autos - Belfast - services

They have xentry so will be able to code your SAM.

Have used them a few times now for some TLC on my 2001 W203, and their service & prices are simply excellent! Please keep us posted how you get on, and if they were able to help...
