Hi All,

Before proceeding ahead with this work, I would appreciate some advice here.
I have a C220 W204 which had its A service today. I have been advised by the specialist that there is additional work which also needs doing in order to pass its MOT.

- Due to corrosion, its required the front near side brake pipes needs replacing
-Due to corrosion, the nearside brake and offside pipes and brake lines need replacing
-Post the brake pipe repair and the bleeding of the brake system yo be carried out
-Remove and refit of the rear centre seat belt
-Full DPF regen required due to DPF fault and O2 sensor fault picked up by mercedes xentry diagnostics.

All the comes up to around £1500. Can anyone confirm if this about right for the above listed work please?

Is this roughly in line with what I should be paying? Just want to ensure this is all in line as to what I should expect

Many thanks
KD

Brake pipe corrosion is a common issue and a nightmare of a job to do, I’d have to double check but my FIL had them done on his W304 and I seem to recall it cost something like £800.

I'd still be tempted to get a price from someone else, unless you have some special relationship with your specialist who I presume is an indie.

Thanks. Got two other garages looking at this for me.

sounds a lot to me. Brake pipes are generally cheap so I am guessing there is a lot of labor involved?
Whas this at a main dealer by any chance?

Just spoke to him and the full job for all of them was £800.
