I've read/heard that they may be problems with changing transmission fluids are these true what really are the problems

More problems occur with not changing it rather than changing it.

I've had diagnostics done - no error codes shown , but not on a star.
I've got it booked in with Mercedes to do Star & investigate probs , thanks all
