Seized caliper

Sorry for not paying attention to this thread. I am now in a position to repair or replace. Obviously there is shed loads of info on the internet, but I wanted peoples personal experience on the job. Are there any specialist tools that I can use to make the job easier/neater? Don't mind spending the money to save potential problems. Also, I did get a quote to have the calipers refurd by brakecaliperrefurbs.co.uk for around £140 a pair. Was pretty tempted to take this offer on, anyone used them?

I've not had any refurbed, but if the calipers on the front are old Brembo calipers, if you check on the Brembo website and they don't list the part, they will be remanufactured by Elstock amongst others. Elstock seem to be the real deal when it comes to remanufacture of original brake calipers, so if you happen to come across some of those, I would consider them over Pagid.

Just subscribing to this thread as I think I have at least one sticky rear caliper perhaps, I'm getting an intermittent small squeak/sound when the car is going very slowly. Sound only goes away when I press the brake (but not if I apply the more commonly problematic parking/footbrake), so I assume it's a sticking caliper and not the parking brake.

I'm going to take mine to a garage to get inspected as I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to brakes, bit out of my depth. I am servicing my car in the next couple of days so need to take it to a garage to get the brake fluid changed anyway (2 year interval)
