So I’ve broken down on the M40, I was driving along fine about 260 miles into my journey and the Vito started reviving like I had put it into Neutral. Pulled over onto the side of the road and tried off and on. Selecting D or R isn’t doing anything. After about 15 mins I tried again, selected D and it drove fine for roughly 2 miles then slipped back into Neutral.

Have the AA on the way, but thought I’d ask if anyone knew what this issue could be?

Perfect end to a crap weekend.

Doing some googling, I think it’s the torque converter that’s failed.

Don't know if you are able to check ATF level.
That's the first thing I would look at.
