Hi guys
New here
Have a problem with the rear self levelling suspension on a 53 e220 w211 estate which has only rear air suspension
O/s rear airbag on the stops n/s bag still up no pump running at all
Checked all fuses that I am aware of
changed relay
Changed rear level sensor
Changed rear airbag (which had one of the terminals disintegrated tried a brand new pump all to no avail
I’ve no hair left
Has anyone any realistic ideas
Thanks jes

Hi Jes,

I have had a similar experience to you, and to me it seems that not even the "experts" at my local Mercedes dealership have a scooby doo how any of this actually works. I too have replaced nearly every single component and even when it was "fixed" and the car handed back to me, I had reservations about it as to me the level of the car looked slightly too low in general. Does anybody here know about how difficult or not it is to replace the lines that carry the air to the airbags? Either from the compressor itself to the valve and/or from the valve to the airbag? Is it easy enough to bypass all of the existing lines with a new, known working one, to quickly prove or dis-prove this part of the puzzle?
