Afternoon all,
my E-class estate (212) is suffering from the well known sinking feeling at the rear. I had it checked over and was diagnosed leaking pipes.
Bellows etc all ok and when sinking it was both sides evenly. So pipes replaced and all's well.
However, it still sometimes sinks either overnight or over a couple of days if not used (not always but more often than not) and I suspect that it might be due to sticking valves.
I saw recently on wheeler dealers that a Porsche Cayenne had a similar issue and it didn’t look a difficult job (although I’m sure that they make it look easy on tv). How easy is it for a DIY novice to do and does anyone have experience of how much the valves cost?
Any assistance as always is appreciated.
Cheers, Steve
