What does the panel think of me cutting a hole in the 211 roof and fitting same?

Have you worked out what you would need to do with the headlining? My 211 has the factory sunroof and the headlining aperture recess looks quite difficult to do - particularly free hand!

If its a OEM Mercedes or W211 specific retrofit kit, ill take my words back...

But if its one of those universal kits that are suitable for any car with a roof, I still think that idea belongs in the 70's when people used to fit them to their Cortina's...

Druk, you say its an 70's type retrofit.....Is it one you have had lying around in the garage for years?
