so your paying something like £1200 for a couple of oil changes ??? possibly a gearbox service at year 5 .

let me think about a service plan for a moment !! erm no thanks.

If you look at service requirements, you’ll see it is much more than a couple of oil changes...and has been stated quite clearly on this forum multiple times, the service plan includes items which are NOT included in the headline PAYG figure.
Items like a brake fluid change, pollen filter, air filter, spark plugs. ATF change. Add those to the PAYG figures and you can easily be in 4 figures for a single service..

the op asked for peoples thoughts , thats why .

Sorry - I didn’t realise only you were allowed to share your thoughts and that others aren’t allowed to provide fact based arguments rather than preferences expressed as options..

Sadly I wouldn't rely too much on any Goodwill from MB.

As for the Service Care Plan, you bought 2 services, and agreed to pay for them in installments over 24 months.

But these are two separate timelines. You can consume the two services whenever you want.

You will be paying for the 2 services £46x24=£1,104, which works-out as a fixed cost of £552 per service.

The next 2 services would have cost more if you didn't have the Service Care Plan in place, so you will be saving money.

The question of which is better, dealer service or specialist, is a separate discussion.

Thanks mate....That's helpful to me. Appreciate your time

I was told that all fluids are inclusive with service plan along with the ATF change

if the service asks for those things they will be done. Some buy into the plans just before the gearbox requires a service as an example.

Yes, but only If the ATF is showing on ESS as due (sadly some don't).
