Service in Ilford/Romford

I need a B service (C220 CDI):

Price quoted by Mercedes-Benz London (Romford office) £ 470.00 less 20% because the car is over 3 years old. They will also do free MOT test (My will be due soon).
Medways autos: £ 375.00

I have read good feedback about Medway Autos (Brabus). Has anybody had any experience of using Mercedes (Romford).

only the parts department, and that was a really bad experience, so bad , i wrote a complaints letter to DC. Havent used them since.

try prestige car specialists in Forest Gate (not far from ilford\romford), I always get my car done here.

just thought i would let you guys know that mb romford has had a big shake up and the level of service is now very different to the point i would say outstanding.....
you will always pay over the odds at a main dealer but at the end of the day i personally think you get what you pay for , Getting your car serviced somewhere else is not maybe always the best option mb has all the up to date information and technology others dont!.At MB ROMFORD did you know that they (probably) have the most longest servicing technicians in the uk. technicians are always happy to help there with any kinda questions......

pity about the parts department, outright rude! since then I havent used ANY of there services, rather use a place with proper customer service.

Used Merc Romford parts dept. for first time a few weeks back.

Great service, no complaints, bits came in when they said, guy was genuinely very friendly, set up a trade account for me with no qualms.

All in all almost a nicer experience than the VW dealers I'm used to who tut and sigh when you want parts from a model 15 years old.



Out of principal I would never ever use any main dealer for a service, you're mad if you do. Whatever make of car

Due to offering training/apprenticeships/good starting salary anyone working on your car is relatively inexperienced with a smattering of experienced mangers thrown in to oversee. Anyone worth their weight gets trained up and leaves, that's what happens at all maindealers, the best guys leave and set up on their own as an independent.

Don't use MB Romford - I live close, but get my servicing done at MB Dartford. ie, I travel 20 miles to go to another dealer and have done for a while.

Read into that what you will - but I've only used them once and never again.

i used one of the other garages mentioned above (no saying which one) cut a long story short they charged me loadsa cash for a really crap job in the end i took it to romford and they sorted it out straight away and it would have been cheaper???????? these 2 bob outfits are ok until they have your car and then the crap starts telling you you need parts that dont need to be replaced.

I had a bad experience with Mercaid so won't be using them again. Labour too expensive for an Indy at £75. Waterhouse of Chelmsford charge this and are Mercedes Authorised.

I used Mercedes Romford and they were good but fairly expensive. I had a B service done there. The labour was really expensive. The forum recommended I use MercAid. They were a lot cheaper and they have garages in hainault and basildon

I had my B service done at Nercedes Romford. The service was good as thier database should few minor upgrades. The service included free MOT. However there were some recommendations which I decided not to get done from them as I did not think that were required !!
I used MercAid to re-gas air con. Again good service.
