Looking for some help/advice folks,

I've just changed my car which had a 4 year service plan, cancelled the contract and got a refund and all is well.

But...i have a private plate which i put on retention @P/X etc...

So i have now updated DVLA/Insurance got plates on new car and went online to purchase a new service plan but the registration number on MB website keeps defaulting to previous model...

Question is, is MB linked to DVLA to update the database?

I've had a private plate on my car for three years plus and Mercedes still refer to it's original plate when I contact the dealership, so your situation is nothing new to me. Others may have a different experience though.

thanks for reply ToeKnee - oddly, if i put the original plate into the Service Plan website, the car doesnt seem to exist at all :) odd given it is an MB demonstrator...i tried emailing MBServices and the response was "goto your dealer"

I believe it is the norm, when I purchased a pre-registered C Class a few year back they always referred to its original plate until I asked my dealer change the registration to my private plate.

I had the same problem so in my opinion Mercedes do not link to DVLA, mine was like this for ages and my personal plate kept linking on Mercedes sites to my previous E Coupe, it was not until I had the car serviced at the dealership that it then changed to my current GLC.

You can of course change details manually via MercedesMe app but that did not alter anything on the Mercedes main sites.
