C220 Sport 57 plate
I paid £400 in July 2012 for the A1 Service on my 2008 C220 Sport Diesel from Mercedes in Dartford. This was basically an oil change.

My next service will be the B1. Mercedes told me it will be £700!! Is this correct??

Sounds like the right numbers from a franchise . Assume they are swapping all sorts of extra stuff in there at the mileage. As the previous poster says to find a good MB indie in your area , get some recommendations either from here or 'the other forum' for good indies...

Service interval is 15k miles or 1 year whichever comes first - if your servicing is time based than a 4 year service would be a B service with additional brake fluid, fuel filter and air filter (IIRC). Look at the MB ESS to see.

I bought my July 2008 s204 C220 end of March, it was due the 4 year B service in July 2012 but I "persuaded" MB Ashford to carry out the service as part of the purchase cost of the car (as well as getting a 12 month tier 1 warranty!).

The cost of the service will depend on the age of the car and the mileage done.
As the basic service cost will include extras e.g. at 4 years old new fuel filter and brake fluid change etc and so on.

Look at the invoice for the A1 service to see what was done - it must have been more than just oil & filter.

And ask what will be done for your £700 - again, far too high for just a B service.

The London area dealers do seem to be a lot more expensive that other's though.

If you put your car's details in here you can see what should be required: Mercedes-Benz ESS
