SLK 320
Does anyone have any recommendations for where I should take my 2001 SLK 320 for its A Service? Europa have quoted £199 which is probably a little more than I expected.

I used to use JAR Motorsports in Rotherham for my SLK work but they seem to no longer have a website or a connected phone so I can only assume they've closed.

I've read mixed reviews about Autotechnic...

Thanks in advance :)

Have you tried arguing bitterly/pleading pathetically (as appropriate) with Steve? Depending on what they're doing they can usually fit your budget, if necessary with the odd agreed short cut.

Are Europa an authorised main dealer for servicing? I need auto transmission fluid change in next month (27k miles) and then second service a few weeks after that (31k miles). I could take to Mercedes Chesterfield (nearest), Sheffield (where I bought the car from) or Hemel Hempstead (where I am working) - or even stuff the dealers and take to the garage where my brother works (independent garage - state of the art workshops).....

There's one advertising in the Derby/Nottingham area, I think they are in Nottingham. Guraranteed fully compliant with MB requirements, registration on the system, etc. I spoke to them to price us servicing before I ordered my new car, because I was concerned about running costs over the years.

I had a really good conversation with them and got lots of useful info. Even compared with Europa, it will make the drive south from Sheffield worth the trip for me.

Sorry I'm not at home for the rest of the week but if this thread is still live when I return I'll look up the name and post it.

Yes unfortunately we had to call it a day due to the ill health of the owner John, who decided it was time to quit and take life easy and spend time with his family.

Most of our MB customers now use Damas who we used to work very closely with Damas - Mercedes spares and servicing specialists

Europa are good though if not a touch pricey at times.

I've used these chaps before although it was for a DSG service on a VW.

German Car Specialists

Seemed to know their stuff though.

Yes - you can check to satisfy yourself 100% on https://enquiries.mercedes-benz.co.uk/book_a_service_new.php?pid=ownersarea_bookService_navigation and go to the 'choose a retailer' drop down box. They're not a brand new car concessionnaire, but are authorised repairers.

No commercial connection, but they are my preferred workshop for anything really nasty (I do anything else)

Thanks - will get a quote from them to compare against MB Sheff.
