I understand that the oil needs changing on these quite early on, is this a regular requirement or is it then maintained as part of the annual servicing?

Hi again it needs changing at 1.5k miles then not again for quite some time 40/50k miles i think.

I believe that after the initial one at 1875 miles, it needs doing at every other Service B so that's about 48k miles.

Not a problem I've ever had to consider....if I keep this one until 48k miles it'll be a first in 13 years of car ownership for me!

Many thanks, what a cracking forum. Just wish the MB site had the info, its bordering on useless, with some of the AMG bits it tells you to contact dealer.

My salesman had no idea, but the service manual does state LSD oil change at 3000km.

HI everyone i'm new to this forum i bought a c43 amg with no service history , the dealers are unable to help in tracing it.
could someone please help? reg no.T86SDK, VIN NO; WDB2020332F819855.
COST APPROX 40K NEW, 1st ,2nd owner must have had it serviced at main dealer, yet they have no records, thanks for any help in advance.

same as mine on the e55

Unfortunately, being a clutch type LSD, it will probably be worn out by 30,000 miles, and be behaving like an open diff :(

I knew there would be a reason why no dealer specs them on their cars!!

Needs new plates, but can be brought back to life :)

Booked mine in for an oil change today. Service dept said it can wait until the first service at 1 year :dk:

I ignored them and booked it in anyway, its only £90.
