Just had to drive a round trip of about 160 miles with a load rattling sound emanating from the car, one of the heat shields underneath is loose and producing an unholy din 
Unfortunately I was committed to doing the trip today for work and didn't have time to get the car looked at.
Just scrambled around underneath and it's still attached so hopefully the dealer (non-MB) I bought it from should be able to quickly remove the fixing bolts and resecure the shield with washers to hold it where they have pulled thru the aluminium!
