Im at a loss. The steering wheel shakes at around 70mph as if out of balance wheels, but Ive had them tracked and balanced on four new tyres (last week).
I had the car inspected last week and indy specialist found nothing wrong.
The following items have been repleced in the last 1000 miles.
Balljoints upper and lower, steering damper, Discs and pads (all four), Anti roll bar bushes (the outer part of the bar is worn but it was not replaced).
The shock absorbers are fine returning after just one 'bounce' when compressed (all four). The springs are not broken.
The steering does not shake all the time but seems worse if the car has been left for a few days when I ride my bike to work.

Would the Anti roll bar cause this if it was badly worn?

I cant think of anything else to check

Its bad balancing and nothing else

No bushes bearings or any thing else can make them shake, they make make it worse, but can never start it in the first place.
go somewhere else

Mmm...logic says your right but Ive had them balanced by several different tyre outlets, I was wondering if the tyres are seated on the rim correctly, Ill have a look.
Dont want to slate people, but having seen some of the 'yoofs' who were tasked with checking my car Im begining to wonder.
Thanks.

If the tyres were badly fitted then they would have balanced them in that condition, they could have moved since.

Dare you say where you took it. and where are you in the UK

Mr tyre in Tamworth fitted the tyres and did the original balancing and tracking. I complained twice and they still couldnt rectify the problem. They blamed the 'steering box'. stating that if it had been a rack and pinion system then it would have been fine.
'Tyres are us' rebalanced and tracked and it was perfect for a while, so much so that I recommended them on this forum but the problem has reoccured which is whats baffling me.

I can understand you concern, something wrong with the way they were fitted an must be weariong or moving.

I would have a word with Jaymanic, he is just down the road from you, I am sure that he will solve it.

It is the tyres and nothing else

It has been known for tyres to wear unevenly (happened on my Mondy) so that in effect thay all no longer round. Halfway through their life they went out of balance and were done again, but once more, some 1000's of miles later they started the judder at 70ish. This was picked up at my service garage (who doesnt do tyres) and when they were replaced and balanced all is now smooth and calm.

Try swopping front and backs and see if the vibration moves to the rear.

Hope this helps.
