my other half has just seen this and asked why you didn't fill up earlier - after all, it's highly unlikely that you did 300 miles or without passing a service station

I stopped using the "we appear to have run out of petrol" trick when I got married.

If you think that is bad yesterday I was in a garden centre looking at solar powered lights and some woman asked me why they had batteries.

LOL I've had that - Mrs drives up to London, I drive home (slack I know but we take it in turns). 3am, I get in the car and the fuel light is already on. A slow, nervous drive home!!!!
