Positive....if your in a rush in the mornings and forget to look in the mirror, you can always just look under the bonnet while checking everything else okay.

What did you use to shine that Jay? Auto Finesse Mercury?

It was probably a 30 stage process involving at least six different compounds and polishing mops before giving up and using a splash of Brasso and some old undies...

it's a new one ....

... only kidding - great job !

Looking great looks new I bet it took some time

On a side note did you see the guy polishing the porsche alloys last week on wheeler dealer he used some thing called French talc to finish the polishing

HAHAHA....good old undies :thumb:

Go on Jay,tell the rest what car is for ;)

You can use talc or Vienna lime. The powder is fine enough to absorb and remove grease left behind from using compound polish/abrasive. Brasso or belgom blue to finish the job. Looks very nice Jay. I'll be doing the rocker covers when I change the gaskets later next month.

Ok so I have to admit that i did not do it by hand... I had a go and gave up after half an hour and an achy finger...

A friend of a friend owns a metal finishers and yes exactly the process used on that wheeler dealers episode...

He is getting another three of my filters to do next week.

Mind me asking how much? Looks fantastic!

Sounds like a job for Baby Jay, would keep them occupied for hours and hours.
