Various.
I sold a 190E exhaust on ebay to a man in Paris. I guestimated the cost of shipping at £45 (based on getting a 40kgs. 190E cylinder head from Germany to the UK for 40 Euros a few mths.ago.)

The quotes I'm getting for the exhaust are REALLY high - about £200! - which is going to be the end of that deal. I could drive to Paris for less than £200!

Does anyone know of a cheaper shipper or method of getting something to Paris at a reasonable cost?

I know someone that sent a Merc exhaust to France using Acclaim, that cost around £150.00 if my memory serves me correct. I believe it cost more because of the dimensions, rather than the weight.

Actually come to think of it, I think this guy spent days trying to find a cheaper carrier, and this was it.

Not a real help, I know. Just tought I would confirm that the price quoted is in the 'Ballpark', so to speak. :)

www.parcel2go.com £19.99 upto 10kg and £24.99 upto 25kg.. They go heavier for a £10 surcharge

I have used them a lot, they use DHL I got them to pick up the side steps I won on Ebay for the Volvo - 2m long and 35kg, cost £23 on a 2 day delivery :)

GSm,

Thanks, I tried them but the size & shape (160 x 82 x 22 cms) makes it a no-no for them.

Strange, my steps were 2m long and 40cm square, must be because it is going overseas.
