Fascinating. Skip the general intro, and the E500 piece runs from 7 minutes in.

And his impression is pretty much the same as mine when I bought my first E500 for £7k with 42k on the clock six or seven years ago. ("Different times)

Which begs the question, how much did he pay for his new estate on 150k ?

I would have said £3k but it was actually listed at £5,750. To be fair it's a high spec. car.

If anyone wants a scruffier one owner car on half the mileage, there's one up in Cumbria that's been around for a month or so.

Interesting that he's looking at it for van / team use.

It reminds me that the S123 was only produced in 1977 with much reluctance by Stuttgart after lobbying from the MD of MB UK.

We can't make an estate, they said, it will devalue the brand. People will think it's a van.
