And get yourself a new numberplate! (screwless and with the blue GB panel :))

HERTZ - where would I get them?
and Dr Nab - I was definatly gonna get rid of that, i didnt put it there, the previous owner did.

From your dealership, should be able to get front and back (with frames) for around £20. would make your car look more upto date and 'cleaner', and no water stains ;)

HEREs a close up of my rear one

The rear plate is next on my list, So ill find my nearest dealership (not sure where nearest one is) and go down there latter end of the week.

Cheers ... and That looks good :)

I'd lose the AMG badge but keep the A160

I'd also think twice about a blue GB panel on the numberplate , personally i think they 'unbalance' the look of the back of the car ...

Nice rear lights ;)

Sorry to spoil your thread Deano, but my ML430 has an AMG badge same as yours (again previous owner put it on), do people think it looks crap? Ive pondered a few times about taking the AMG off of my car.

Right about the reg plate, need a nice shiney new one tbh.

AMG badges on non AMG cars are beyond crap. ;)

Tear it off immediately and stamp on it. :D

They look better than a GB sticker on the boot lid if you travel abroad though.

Amg badge up to you, agree the number plate holder in black from my dealer was around £6 and it bolts on then the plate clicks in.

Simple cheap mod for the rear is a flat wiper blade also :)

I'd get plain plates no euro or gb or border etc.... Less is more

Cheers guys. think what im gonna do is...

Take the AMG Badge off (how would you recommend i do this guys?)
Leave the A160.

Get new rear plate and holders. Possibly get a back flat wiper, although it don't work :P

And Howard, yes, they are nice arn't they :P

Thats not even a OEM AMG badge either by the looks of it!

The 'Euro' style plates make any car look more modern IMO, like our European neighbours :)

Magnetic ones are wonderful. Then you don't have to clutter up your numberplates / car for the 345 days a year you aren't driving in Europe.

To remove the AMG horror , slide some dental floss behind it and with a 'sawing' motion , cut it off. Then white spirit to remove the sticky residue , then polish and wax the area as the white spirit will remove the wax.

off it comes then. Now correct me if im wrong, but an old knife to prize it of the paint work may cause problems, like Deano said, what the correct way of de-badging without cause massive paint issues?

Heat the badge with a heatgun or hairdrier then use detal floss as a saw :)

Most modern cars are festooned with plastic at the rear end, not many places to stick a magnetic GB badge anymore. Anyway, I agree with Killerhertz, modern euro plates are a touch more cosmopolitan.

Someone once said a hairdryer?
and H, wont that take my paintwork off too?

the only time ive used white spirit is to get paint off my hands when painting my room... ha

Far too many cars have non-magnetic tails alas, as I would rather have a GB plate. Just looking for a nice period chrome one for my Null Zwei.

I just used plenty of soapy water and prised off slowly with finger nails. Any sticker backing left on I used petrol and then polished where the badge was.

Easy really :)

Flat wiper and new plate / holder the back will look much smarter.
