As some of you may know, I am in the possession of a very rare WALD bodykit for a W202. I am however in a quandry. The sideskirts on the kit dont have any holes to use the jacking point covers, I'm also thinking that it may prove difficult to sort out the jacking points should I need access to them in the future......

So here are my questions. Do I:
1. Sell the kit and buy say a C36 AMG bodykit
2. Use the front and back bumpers and swap for OEM side skirts
3. Use the WALD side skirts and carefully unscrew them when needed?

4. Get a competant bodyshop to cut holes and fashion covers from the bit they will cut out.

Should be able to do this no probs.

That WALD kit is special , you can't get rid of it !

I agree with Howard. Get the kit on and get the photos on here.

If you are only going to use the jacking points to change a tyre in the event of a puncture then I'd consider getting a small trolley jack and an axle stand.

That would leave your bodykit in perfect condition.

How much do you want for the kit? (don't worry its not going on the '43)

Just do it and if you need a proffesional who can make it happen hey !

Lovely Lovely, I think there are no jacking covers for a reason - would spoil the "indented bit". I would do what LTD says, always handy to have a trolley jack :)

if it looks like that dont sell! im sure you can get those jacking point sqaures cut just right.

..you got the fogs and all that too?

Does the skirt completely cover the jacking points then?, have you tried placing them on to see if it does infact cover them?

The C43 skirts dont have a cut out, but are extremely close to the points.

No no, I dont want to use the jacking points at all. I'm asking because if for any reason I need to remove the sills then...............say for example the sills underneath needed remedial treatment against tin worm

Yes I have the foglights, however I have yet to figure out a way to fit them to the bumper, will probably need to fabricate brackets somehow. WALD suggest using some springs, however think will probably end up losing a fog lamp on the motorway with that set up.

I also need a competent bodyshop that specialise in fitting bodykits as I dont want it to look like a dogs dinner.

you are right there need somebody who knows what they are doing. That kit does look very nice indeed.

Suprised the fogs didnt come with the fitting kit etc? if they are the same that come off the AMG w202's then maybe you could buy and modify the existing housing it uses (obviously if its a seperate piece to the bumper of course) w202 owners to advise!

Wald uses the same fogs as the c43 if that's any help
Also contact CKS and see if they could help since they sold a few kits
As for your question, keep the kit as it looks very nice on 202

If, when the existing sills are removed, there is evidence of rust then get it fixed before putting the kit on. If it looks ok then just slather it inside and out with Bilt Hamber or similar then get the kit installed.

As for a bodyshop, why not speak to Ian (Walker) about it. I've never had his body man fit a kit for me but he's replaced wings and painted panels for me to a good standard and for a reasonable price.

If that is the case, it will need to be fitted the same -as per my HOWTO photo:

Anything like this on the Wald bumper?

Nope, will need to fabricate brackets. The hole on yours where the bolt is going in is much further away on the WALD front bumper.
