Should I Sell my C63?

Im looking to drive some MX5's this week to see what they are like. I was looking for maybe getting a diesel for an everyday car and just using the MX5 for the track but as i only do 7k miles a year, dont think it would work out getting a diesel. Using the MX5 as a daily drive and track car is a possiblity.

In the mean time i have put my car up for sale on here and PH at £27.5k and its struggling to get viewings.

On PH within a 40 mile radius and the same 08 plate, other cars are listed at a higher price, with more mileage so i dont know how far i have to drop the price to get interest. The only issues with the car are oxidised alloy wheels which Mercedes and an alloy refurb company are supposed to be sorting out between them so is not mentioned. Plus a little paint chip on the rear drivers side.

There's lots of good advice about MX5 and sensible mods to make it a better track car on MX5Nutz Forum

Thanks for that, i have been looking there quite a lot recently but more on the classified section as they seem to me better looked after in terms of rust etc.

Why is it so hard for people to learn to use a price guide.

I can't get details for an 08 plate, but for a 59 plated car;

Car valuation adjusted for 27,000 miles
Retail: £29,899

Private Good: £25,469
Private Average: £23,149
Private Poor: £21,989
Part Exchange: £24,539
Trade: £23,614

Knock £3k off these figures and you should get some interest.

As an aside, I've yet to see any car on PH that isn't overpriced.

How's your cost per mile figures looking now you have £15k of depreciation to account for in 8k miles?

There are 9 2008 C63s on Ebay at less than £27500, and 1 2009. Including one with only 32750 miles.
