Could you not TIG weld lead, or is it too soft even for that?

Not too sure, but I would say the melting temp for lead is too low. In the old days they would solder it, now we use oxy-acetylene.

My problem is that when they run out I am screwed in regards to getting replacements.

Todays new toy...Never taken out its box let alone started.

Dry stored for at least 7 years. Tomorrow evenings task will be to give it an oil change and a once over before its first run.

For some reason I was expecting this to be a motorbike:eek:

Kawasaki are essentially a steel company and make many products from it.

Just bought one of these yesterday , great sander. Hardly any vibration transmitted to your hands. Well pleased with it.

I could have done with that on the weekend (20 hours spent replacing a fence) I have a circular saw, a jig saw and a handsaw and the 100mm posts required chopping with a handsaw. The wood was soaking wet from its pressure treatment and hellishly difficult to cut by hand. I now ache all over

Here you go:

Bought an aluminium jack for the garage at home the other day, anyone else invested in tools or garage stuff recently?

I see your toolbox draws and I'll raise you mine. :D

If nothing else, it produces lots of water - a bucket full every two days!

I've got one of those too

I use it in the garage through winter so the SL is nice and snuggly.

Nice one. I have the newer snap-on driver it has superior torque as demonstrated by the snap on rep. He had 2 tool chests taller than me a red and a black. filled up with super stuff all gained from tradeins. He had trades of 400 quid boxes and he laughed because to him they were nothing to the box he sold in exchange. My brolly has the new shape handle too. it works great in the rain ....
