Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to replace the side indicators in a C220. I have taken out the glass and pivot system but have come against a deadend in figuring out what to do next.

Cheers
Steve

Steve, what car, and what are you trying to do exactly?

If its a W203 ( presume it is as you mention indicators ) HERE is a link to instructions I found when I changed my indicators. You do not need to remove the mirror glass, only the outer cover which slides off with the indicator still attached.

Hope this helps.

Did you get this sorted? It was a very easy job to change these on the S

Was the mirror area first and then bend the housing towards the window to give you space to get a flat tool into the area that releases the clip.

Return the clip to the active position when done

Has anybody ever taken the mirror housing off a facelift W210? I can't seem to be able to release the clip  The pic below is of the nearside (passenger) mirror when folded. I just need to replace the blinker unit (cracked lens) but need to get the housing off first :o

Can anyone point out where I should be jamming in my screwdriver please and what I need to do to release the clip.

TIA
Steve

Heres another pic of the inside. You can see where my screwdriver has been and a bit to the right with what looks like the clip that I need to release. Can someone please confirm that I've been looking in the right place?

I've tried to move the clip every way but now worried I might break something soon :o

You're in the right area, you might need a slimmer screwdriver, this is a picture of the clip you're after: http://www.frappr.com/antu/photo/3356281

Thanks Nick. Do I have to wedge my screwdriver to the top of the clip and push in towards the car (assuming the mirror folded on the passenger side)?

You need to aim just in front of the part in your photo with all the scratches on and lever towards the car to release.
