Would a pair of smooth side repeaters (like in the pic below) fit onto a W124 without leaving any gaps around the edge?

How can I remove the existing repeaters from my W124 - are they stuck on and need to be pulled off, or is there a screw somewhere??

Thanks guys and gals (doesn't seem to be many gals in here though!!) :(

the ones on your car just clip in - to remove them goes something like this...

1, hold the edge of the repeater and push towards either the front or rear of the car and pull outwards at the same time

2, listen to the sound of old plastic lugs snapping

3, go to the dealers and ask about buying 2 replacement repeaters because the old ones won't stay in place with the lugs snapped off

4, sit down after you have heard the price

5, go and buy a tube of superglue to make your old ones fit :)

The repeaters are about a tenner each from the stealership, the pre-facelift w202 has the same repeaters as the w124 so the smooth ones do physically fit into the wings, the only problem is the bulb holder/connector, in some cases it doesn't fit the repeater lens, this may be a w124/facelift problem. My only tip for you if you are making this upgrade is to masking-tape the repeater cable to the wing while it's all exposed, if you let go of it and it vanishes through the hole in the wing you'll be sorry ;)

I fitted the facelift 'smooth' repeators on my w202 by fileing down 2 of the 3 plastic connector pins, which make them fit perfectly.
