:dk: I have a S320 CDI 2003, I recently had a left windows control unit go faulty so I had that replaced by a Garage who claims to be also Mercedes expert. Their effort seemed to triggered a host of issues Brake pads replaced etc. Now Garage is saying that the error codes are due to the three SAM modules not communicating with each other. The boot and card doors do not lock any more, or the wing mirrors do not fold when I use the select lock.

So I am looking for advice and a reputable engineer to sort this issue out. I suspect it can be major issue or that the garage messed up and that the system needs reprogramming. Was wondering if any one here can help.

Check for evidence of water ingress under the passenger front carpet, plays havoc with the canbus system, failing that (I'm guessing that's your problem) check the front Sam itself for water ingress/green contacts.
