I've seen the various boy-racer cars with the fancy blue silicon hoses for their intercoolers and turbos.

What I want to know is whether I'd see any improvement in my 2002 SLK230K by fitting them. The existing pipe are a little tatty and will probably benefit from a good cleanout inside, but I could probably get by with them for a good while yet.

    Any advice would be welcome.

No you wont see any difference unless your old ones are split. they dont expand as much when under boost but the difference must be lower than points of one percent, but do look good, also maybe classed as a mod so insurance probs unless you get black so nobody can see then why bother?

I had turbo diesels for 12 years had 2 split but neither car was in a std state of tune:)

But the new genuine landrover replacements were silicone but in black with a red inner.
