Good news to hear his KB is history, but why single out Fred the Shred?

All the top bankers are Sir Somethingorother.

They all pi$$ is the same pot and were all equally to blame for the pain we are in now.

Take them all back!

Read the thread - Goodwin is a prime cnut and this decision just reinforces all I have stated. He was singularly responsible for the collapse of RBS - no ifs - no buts.

There is a God.

I look forward to his slow and painful demise!

Agree Del however it sets a bar to which strip knighthoods of other who fall foul of the publics scrutiny and that of the press.

Whether that's a bad thing is actually up for debate but let's see heads like that crook lord archer roll...

No Steve, I agree with your arguement in principle but - without continuing to sound obsessive, Goodwin is in a league of his own.

Has anyone here been in the same room as him?

He and he alone caused the collapse. Yes, rightly criticise the Board but it was impossible for anyone to stand up to the man.

Give him a country and he would be the equal of any tyrant!

Psychopathic, sociopathic, meglomaniac and all round b@stard!

The overriding reason for Goodwin's forfeiture was that he knighthood was awarded for services to the banking industry. Had it been awarded for something else, such as charity work or whatever, its removal would not have been so straightforward.

What next for plain Fred Goodwin I wonder? Surely a stint in the Celebrity Jungle beckons...

We can't inflict him on poor old Australia. What did they ever do to deserve that?

France on the other hand.

Glad to see the principle of attainder is slowly being re-introduced. Next, Prezza for services to the bonking industry peut etre?

have you been in a room with Goodwin?

how can you be so sure that it's all his fault? were you there when the decisions were made at RBS?

on what evidence and on what basis are you pinning RBS's collapse on Goodwin?
