Guys I need help, my sister has a 96 SLK, she left her lights on and the battery went flat, it was flat for a few weeks, now the key isn't recognised, is it fooked?

First move, get a smart charger and get the main battery back to 100% full charge.

Have you replaced the battery in the key?

After that think you need car on STAR machine, might just need codes clearing.

Just spoke to her again, they have replaced the key but the Ecu won't program up to the new key

Sis has her SLK back now, the ecu had to be re-programmed and then the key married to it, all sorted now :bannana:
