A Sky Q Silver box is the main new addition to Sky's line-up, with 12 TV tuners so people in other rooms can set up to four recordings and watch live TV on other screens - up to five at the same time

12 Tuners.

My Technomate box has two tuners and I have great difficulty working that.

Ohhhh shiny. Hopefully they will punt the first ones out cheap like they did with the HD boxes.

The first HD boxes weren't cheap, only cheaply made. This will almost certainly have a silly sub to go with it. They've still got the nerve to charge for HD for god's sake!

Biggest mistake Sky ever made was letting the UK rights to Tivo go, the Ui on the original one is still a far better PVR than any Sky+ box since, such a shame they didn't integrate it with the receiver.

Don't have any experience of cable so don't know whether VM made a good job of it.

It's about time they had an upgrade. VM has been able to supply a 3 tuner box for years that runs from a single feed, unlike SKY who still need one per tuner.
