Getting confused abour my 1998 sl320 (v6 model)
Abs & Ads lights were coming on intermittently - local MB garage detected faulty multi-hydraulic suspension valve. Since this was expensive and the car had just been on blocks for one month ( Wheel refurbishment) I decided to wait, and hey presto problem disappeared.... for a while.
Second time it started happening, the same garage detected faulty steering wheel angle sensor, which was duly changed ( cheaper than multi-clve though !), along with one wheel sensor.
problem disappeared again for 4000 km, and has now come back - still intermittent, and just the ADS light comes on now. - not ABS or SRS .
The same 'ole merc garage has now detected a faulty ADS calculator, cost € 2000 + labour !
Anyone had similar mishaps with similar vehicle ?
