Sl350 2003
Hi all ,I have a 2003 sl350 ,I’ve been having an issue where I’m getting a warning on the dash electrical components offline ,renewed agm battery but only seems to keep the warning at bay for 6-7 weeks ,had battery tested all good holding 12.66 on a drop test and is receiving 14.2 volts from the car when it’s running ,there must be a draw on the battery from somewhere but I’m stumped ,if you have any ideas help please ,cheers

Sounds as if one of the cars many electrical systems may not be fully shutting down when you switch off. if its intermittant may be very difficult to trace.

Thanks for you reply. , how many electrical systems are there on the sl ,I’ve had it for a few years now with no issues other than this one

Lots. You need to connect an ammeter whilst pulling fuses until the draw drops or scope the body can wiring to confirm it goes to sleep.

Is the car unused for 6-7 weeks? If so you are very fortunate.

CAN Bus Explained - A Simple Intro (2021)
Your car is " networked" with many of its electronics linked together. To fault find you need to employ similar digital technology= dedicated diagnostic systems- either good aftermarket systems or MB's STAR system. In addition you need someone with the necesary experience to interpret the readouts-- your best bet is a local MB specialist- prefereably one who can monitor live data rather than just log fault codes
