SL 350 clocks replacement

Hi all

I need to replace my speedo and tacho on my 2005 350 sl , now are you the clocks across the range compatable or does it have to be car pacific ? ie does the brain sort out the info before passing onto the dials?

The instrument cluster is programmed to the car. If I recall correctly, it is programmed and synced to EIS and the ECU.

Why do you need to replace this? I am not sure if you can even buy a used cluster and have it programmed. Your option may well be a new cluster and then have that programmed. There are plenty of places to repair instrument clusters.

There is a company called Actronics www.actronics.co.uk that supply a fully re furbished instrument cluster for C-class W204 2007-2011 and GLK -Class X204 200 - 2015 for just £ 153 + VAT.
Not you car , granted. But they must be worth a call 01206849920

I have not used them, but worth a shout.
