As above, quite fancy one of these around 05/06/07, what MPG are owners actually getting. I know what the specs say but I don't drive round a test track at 55mph, any replies much appreciated
    Cheers

The best I have had from mine is 29mg on a long run driving sensibly. More realistically I get about 26/27 on a run and about 20 round town.

I can get it to 15 ish quite easily if I drive it hard, but it's worth it.

I have the 3.7 litre engine.

I know it's a 500 not a 350 but my '06 has an average of 25 and managed over 30 (just) on a 450 mile run to Devon last weekend. HTH

I have the E350 estate, heavier and the no doubt far worse aerodynamics, and I am averaging 29.7 over the last year and 17,000 miles.

Never really drops below 25mpg and will do 35+ on a run.

I would be a little wary of 06 and 07 350s. See this thread for full info on the engine:

    http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/engine/137229-complete-m272-engine-thread.html

The 05s and maybe early 06s had the 3.7 M112 engine which seem to be pretty reliable.

The 06s and 07s may also have VGS2 versions of the 7G gearbox, these were liable to electroplate failures (around £600 to replace).

I think both engine and gearbox issues were fixed by mid/late 2007.
