SL 500 R230 2006 wheels query

Hi All
Have staggered Turbine wheel on at present

However i want to put 8.5J wheels all round,will this effect the handling of the car,tyre guys it may,but you wont know till you swop them?

Any clues as to wheel size options in the cars manual or inside the filler cap ?

17x8.5 ET 35 with 255/45R17 tyres and 18x8.5 ET 35 with 255/40R18 were both stock Mercedes setups so I wouldn't worry:

I went the other way on my R129 SL500 (from 17x8.25 front & back to staggered 18x8.5 / 18x10) and both drove fine. TBH a change of tyre brand/model is probably more likely to be noticeable in normal road driving.
