Driving my SL500 (2004) at speed, I heard a loose panel flapping underneath. When I stopped to investigate, a small section was breaking off. I snapped off the loose piece & went on my way - all fine.
It seems likely that the panel is intended to deflect water.
The car will be due for service soon, so I guess I should replace the panel. What is the panel called? How much is it likely to cost? Should I be sourcing the panel with the main dealer or elsewhere?
