SL320 R129 - Valuation advice

Hi All,

I've recently put my SL up for sale. The asking price is £6950 based on what I have seen similar models selling for on Autotrader and various other websites.

Would appreciate if anyone has a book price for this car? or general thoughts on my asking price.

as it it not the face lift model interior and exterior i would have thought the price is fair but expect offers around 5k (too many around offered for prices below w107), as many are for sale with pano roof etc for similar money.

It's the 96 facelift model
Wrong wheels and at least a grand too expensive.

Thanks guys. It's the 96 facelift model, there was a further update in 98. These are the correct AMG alloys for the R129, there is a 17" split rim alloys which I tried to source but missed out on them on ebay.

Thinking of putting the original 8 holes back on, so if anyone is interested is a set of staggered 18 AMG Monobloc 2 wheels let me know.

It's a good looking car with a decent spec. and sensible miles, I would also have thought the price was about right myself

It all depends on condition and you can't tell that from a photo. If it is in great condition then hold out for your price as many that out there that look great in the photo won't be so great in reality. I would say the AMG wheels are a selling point, especially as you have the orginals if the buyer wants them, as is the panoramic roof.

Obsidian black, 1996 facelift, panoramic roof with sun blind, mushroom leather heated electric seats. Genuine AMG Monobloc II wheels with virtually new tyres. Electric windows, mirrors and steering column, a/c, courtesy lights, insurance qualifying Thatcham alarm and tracker (fitted by MB Mayfair). No expense spared. Full MB main dealer (6 stamps) and MB specialist (2 stamps) history - covered only 78K with all previous MOTs, service documents and bills of sale. 2 year B service completed by MB main dealer in April 2012. Beautiful condition, leather in fantastic condition. Taxed to December 2012. MOT to Jun 2013 (passed with no advisories). Move forces sale. £6,450 o.n.o.
