Can anyone please help a new MB convert.
This weekend, my parking brake release appears to have 'detatched' from the main parking brake mechanism. The plastic release handle is completely 'floppy' and has no effect upon the parking brake.
The parking brake did release before failing (thankfully) and as the car is an auto, I can leave in 'PARK' and not worry to much for the time being. However my question:
Has anyone else encountered this ftype of ailure and if so can they advise as to a likely cause and if achievable by a reasonable DIY er, or reccomend taking this problem to a dealer?
Any advice will be very gratefully received.
