SL500 mpg ???

Guys having owned a w208 and running this for nearly a year I have had a return of 25ish mpg ... Leap to today sitting on my drive is my new toy a silver sl500 r230 what are you guys getting as a return on mpg with these beasts ? I am thinking it is bound to be 15-20 I am not to worried my Benz is my only vice I don't drink or smoke kids have gone its me the old lady and the benz but it would be great to know what's the average .... Obviously booting it will cost smiles=less miles "only milk and juice come in 2ltrs

Over the last 52462 miles my SL500 has averaged 20.92 mpg

Sweet that's not far off my 320 clk I can live with that

I have an R231 SL500. The best I have seen is 31.7mpg on a run with an o/a average speed of 63 mph. Normally on a full tank I will achieve an average of 25/26.

I have had my 2007 SL500 with the 5.5 engine for a year now and done 7800 miles at an average of 23.5 mpg according to the computer.

And not a single thing has gone wrong with it!

Why ??
So I've just spent £4000 on the car
New tyres
Odd leak fixed
Brakes done
Cracked out alloy replaced
New Apple Play system installed

For the money a good one is VERY hard to beat

Surely you guys should be getting slightly better than that? I get 15ish around town and 23-24 Motorway and that isn't driving like a Nunn either.
