Complete with the 'original' Lorinser wheels, Remus exhaust, AMG engine (cover) and Brabus numberplate holder :D And don't forget the SL600 badging :rolleyes:

He's helpfully included a picture of a Mille Miglia edition, which being a 1995 car it could possibly have been originally. Although it has no MM side badging.

Classy pic. of the boot with a parts box in there and the trim panel removed. Wonder what the problem is.

Oh yes true Ebay classic...in the item question section some one has already pulled the seller up, he told them to contact MB to verify, brilliant lol:wallbash:

Q: Is this an original silver arrow as a) they were built in 2001 b) the seat colour combination is not correct c) the wheels are not correct

Seller A: Yes. Please contact Mercedes to qualify Red and black leather AMG Engine is Sterling Moss very limited Edition Silver Arrow

Seems he has been investing in lots of Chinese Ebay badges, I really don't know how you get away with this stuff off on Ebay, its clearly NOT an S55, I suppose you can always contact MB to check like he told the last potential buyer:rolleyes:

According to DVLA its a 1978 2.7 Mercedes...:confused::crazy:

Seller also appears to have a dodgy AMG S Class

The S55 (or not) it's missing engine cover - what else shows it not an S55?

Agree but they could be modified? S55 didn't have amg door sills or carbon trim as standard for example?

It is a genuine one apparently but I am still not convinced...
Wonder if wheels genuine? (Brabus)

It might be salvageable..

The SL might not be a silver arrow, but it does have SA Code 904 which is Mille Miglia, this may tie in with it being a Stirling Moss Edition.

If you look very carefully you can just about make out the AMG sign on the dashboard. The post facelift S55's were N/A and ony had twin tailpipes, not quad like the supercharged.

Looks a mess though; the wheels look all wrong, the Brabus badge looks oversized and horror of horrors he's got a bonnet star and a star grille!!!!

Funnily enough there was a 320 MM up for sale recently (discussed here) which also appeared to be missing everything apart from the seats & door cards.

This one has actually had Silver Arrows badges added to the front wings though ... so it's genuinely being mis-sold.

The 'Silver Arrow' listing has ended, but I see there's an image from Benzworld of a Sterling (sic) Moss Mille Miglia version in among the pictures. Perhaps it's the ultra-rare Sterling Silver Arrow...
