SL500 R129 Stealth and Speake enclosures

Has anyone done a boot or back seat speaker install, where do you find purpose built enclosures for the R129, looking to buy enclosures or have them made in the Hampshire area. Any pics or info regarding this is greatly appreciated.

Do you use your back seats at all?

If not, thats where the speakers should go as you'll hear nothing from the boot in a R129.

Cheers Spike, Was thinking the same thing so will go for back seat build and sell the leather jump seats. Have you done one? Any pix pls?

Actually this was an option on R129's - you could have seats or a sound system - bose I think it was.

You might get lucky and find the rear deck for sale in one of the breakers or perhaps ebay.de. Then custom fit it with your own speakers and amps.

You should be aware that the standard setup has a 1ohm speaker setup rather than 4ohm so don't be tempted to change the head unit or speakers without removing the whole existing setup.

Thanks for pics and ebay interesting thread, had already called the guy re that but he wont ship to UK as to expensive. There must be someone in the UK that has/can build a back seat conversion, seen a few now but every custom shop I talk to has never done one. Weird!!
