A heads up that I'll be selling my SL500 Silver Arrow in August.
I bought it last November having searched for a while and had intended to keep it. But then an SL60 came along...
The previous owner owned the car 7 years from 35,000 miles to 116,000miles. It's now at 118,000. It has been serviced properly by a variety of MB dealerships and for the last 6 years by Olly at Prestige (list of work done by him below). Literally anything that needed attending was done. Plugs, leads, discs, pads, rear break lines, front ball joints, gear box oil, new tyres. In June 2014 it had its major B service and sailed through the MOT.
It has all the Silver Arrow add ons; special paint, panoramic roof, black and silver embossed leather, ventilated discs, aluminium dash and the silver brightwork/ badges. It has a high end Alpine DAB radio with boot mounted CD changer. The soft top has been professionally reproofed and the perspex replaced. The front bumper, bonnet and wings were professionally resprayed to remove stone chips and eradicate the threat of rust. There is a fairly fat file of all the paperwork.
The car has AMG IV AMG 18" alloys and a twin pipe exhaust (replaced the with a SS Cat back system in 2012). In addition the engine is remapped to improve acceleration and mpg.
It drives beautifully and the exhaust gives a great engine note. My Bristol Mercedes specialists were very impressed with its condition and it just passed its MOT in late June 2025 with no advisories.
